12.09.08 RFIB appointment Richard Spragg

RFIB Group limited ("RFIB"), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, is adding to its financial professional risks area by the recruitment of Richard Spragg as Managing Director, Financial Products, Non Marine Division - Insurance.

Hugh Champion, RFIB Non Marine, said: “I am delighted that Richard has chosen to join us at this important time in our development and we are fortunate to have someone of his calibre joining the team.

11.09.08 RFIB appointment: Rob Walton

RFIB Group Limited ("RFIB"), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, is expanding its non marine capability in the area of construction and engineering by the recruitment of Rob Walton as Managing Director, Construction and Engineering, Non Marine Division – Insurance.

Hugh Champion, Director of RFIB Non Marine, said: “Rob brings with him a wealth of experience and we are delighted that he will be joining RFIB. We feel that his appointment will further broaden our already established platform and respond to an increasing demand in this specialist class of business. We are looking forward to working with him and believe his talents will prove invaluable as we continue our expansion in this area.”

09.09.08 RFIB expands workers’ compensation reinsurance capabilities

RFIB Group Limited (“RFIB”), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, is expanding the group’s workers’ compensation reinsurance capability with the recruitment of Duncan Hopegood and Adrian Mortley.

The move marks another step in the group’s continuing development of its non marine insurance and reinsurance business which has grown significantly over the last year.

This fits well with our strategy to promote and expand the RFIB business as suitable opportunities arise on the global stage."

08.09.08 RFIB appointment: Nick Foden-Pattinson

RFIB is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Foden-Pattinson as Managing Director Alternative Reinsurance Products and Director, Specialty Division as part of the strategic expansion of its global reinsurance business.

Nick Foden-Pattinson, who joins today, will be involved in developing RFIB’s growth plans across all areas of the Group’s operations.

27.06.08 Senior Appointment: Hagger to join RFIB expansion drive on non marine global risks

RFIB Group Limited (“RFIB”), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, is pleased to announce that Mr Dominic Hagger, currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Arthur J Gallagher (UK) Limited is to join the senior team driving the group’s current expansion of its international non marine insurance business.

Dominic will be joining Hugh Champion who joined RFIB in December 2007 to develop the group’s non marine global risks insurance operations.

13.03.08 Appointment of new Chief Financial Officer at RFIB

RFIB Group Limited (“RFIB”), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, announces the appointment of Jonathan Turnbull as Group Chief Financial Officer of RFIB, with effect from 6 May 2008.

Jonathan is a Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years’ insurance industry experience. He joins RFIB following eight years at RK Carvill (International Holdings) Ltd (“Carvill”) where he was Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. During his time at RK Carvill, Jonathan was responsible for amongst others, the finance, treasury, HR and IT functions. He was also actively involved in developing the business on an international scale, including several acquisitions and the establishment of managing general agents in the US. Prior to this, Jonathan spent eight years at Benfield following its acquisition of Greig Fester and prior to that at Lloyd’s of London.

Jonathan Turnbull said: “I’m delighted to be joining RFIB. It has an outstanding reputation in the market and I am excited about joining the team and contributing to the strategic development of the Group”.

09.01.08 Senior Appointment: Champion takes up new role at RFIB

RFIB Group Limited (“RFIB”), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, is pleased to announce that Mr Hugh Champion has been appointed a Director of RFIB Group Limited. Hugh has begun his new role driving the group’s international strategic expansion of its leading position in facilities and binding authority business. Mr Champion will lead a team of 10 staff who specialise in this area.

As previously announced, RFIB is one of the top ten generators of binder and coverholder business into the Lloyd’s market. Such business accounts for a significant proportion of the group’s North American income, a significant minority of its international non marine business and elements of its marine and UK income. Hugh and his team will work across the group to further develop RFIB’s presence outside North America, whilst building on RFIB’s significant international presence in the reinsurance sector.

Patrick Holcroft, RFIB Group Chief Executive, said: “Opportunities are opening up in the international wholesale insurance arena which will enable RFIB to apply its expertise in facilities and binders business on a much wider basis. We have already made considerable progress on this front. With Hugh now on board, the group is well placed to push further ahead in 2008 and beyond.”
