RFIB expands workers’ compensation reinsurance capabilities

RFIB Group Limited (“RFIB”), the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, is expanding the group’s workers’ compensation reinsurance capability with the recruitment of Duncan Hopegood and Adrian Mortley.

The move marks another step in the group’s continuing development of its non marine insurance and reinsurance business which has grown significantly over the last year.

Peter Talbot, Director, RFIB Non Marine, said: “We are delighted to have such respected market figures joining us to assist in the development of our business in this niche product area. This fits well with our strategy to promote and expand the RFIB business as suitable opportunities arise on the global stage.”

Hugh Champion, joint Managing Director, Non Marine, commented: “RFIB has made considerable headway in speciality insurance areas such as kidnap and ransom, fine art, personal accident and professional indemnity. The addition of Duncan and Adrian to the team will now enable us to further expand the group’s specialist reinsurance capabilities.”
